Terms of Service
Last updated June 15, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your rental of electric bicycles and related equipment from New River E-Bike Rentals (an RBDhub company). By booking, you agree to them. If you're booking for others in your group, you agree to them on their behalf.
Bookings, deposits & payment
A deposit is required at booking to reserve your bikes; the remaining balance is due on delivery. Rates, taxes (Virginia sales tax of 5.3% on the rental), and any delivery fee are shown before you confirm.
Rentals run for the dates and times you select. Late returns may incur additional charges.
Delivery & pickup
We deliver and pick up bikes at the location and time window agreed at booking. Please be available during your window. You're responsible for the bikes and equipment from delivery until we collect them, including reasonable care and security (use the lock we provide).
Eligibility & safe use
Riders must be comfortable operating a bicycle and able to control an e-bike (Class 1 & 2, pedal-assist up to 20 mph). Minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for them. Don't ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and follow all trail rules and traffic laws.
We recommend wearing the helmet we provide at all times. The New River Trail is shared with others — ride at a safe speed and yield appropriately.
Assumption of risk
Cycling, including on e-bikes, carries inherent risks — including falls, collisions, uneven surfaces, weather, and the actions of others. By renting from us, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks for yourself and the members of your group.
Liability
We maintain our bikes and aim to deliver them in safe, working condition, and we carry insurance — that, together with good maintenance and clear safety guidance, is how we protect our riders.
Please note: under Virginia law, a pre-injury waiver does not bar a claim for ordinary negligence. We don't ask you to sign away those rights, and nothing in these terms attempts to. Your assumption of the inherent risks of cycling above does not waive any claim you may have if we are negligent.
You are responsible for loss of or damage to the bikes and equipment while in your care beyond normal wear, and for any fines or citations you incur during the rental.
Cancellations & weather
If you need to change or cancel, contact us as early as possible and we'll work with you under the policy shown at booking. If weather makes riding unsafe, we'll do our best to reschedule.
